Rough Potch

Potch opal is a common opal with no colour bar, hence does not exhibit any play of colour. It comes in a variety of colours such white, grey or black. 

Potch opal is a great starting stone to help beginners become comfortable with lapidary equipment without the thought of polishing away hundreds or even thousands of dollars worth of opal down the drain.
